Flooring America Fairfax is currently looking for an experienced, results-driven sales professional in our Fairfax, VA location. Responsibilities of the sales professional include:

o Do you like working with people?

o Greeting and building relationships with clients in the showroom is paramount.

o Helping clients with their flooring choice through decorating and design advice.

o Keeping up to date on the wide selection of floors we have to offer along with the benefits and warranties provided by each.

o Writing and processing sales orders.

o Working effectively with other store employees is a must.

o Using computer database to research availability of merchandise and processing orders.

o Following up in a timely and professional manner with customers on all requests or concerns.

o Prospecting for new business.

o Providing consistent leadership and an unwavering commitment to world-class customer service.

GREAT candidates will have:

o A history of demonstrated success in sales and/or customer service.

o Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

o A positive, can-do attitude and desire to exceed expectations.

o A passion for developing and maintaining long-term customer relationships.

o Knowledge of floor coverings and the flooring industry is helpful.

Education:

o Degree or diploma supported by proven sales experience is desired.

o An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will also be considered.

o Computer competence, math skills, and basic typing.

Compensation:

o Competitive compensation package including

o Base salary starting at $65,000-$75,000

o Quarterly and monthly incentives

o Commission potential of $100,000-$150,000 after 90 days

Schedule:

o Full-time, in-person, 5 days per week

o Showroom hours: 9:00 AM-6:00 PM

o If you work on a Saturday, you will substitute one weekday off during the same week
