Warehouse Order Picker – Cold Environment
Essential Job Functions
Stand and walk for extended periods (minimum 8-hour shifts).
Bend, lift, twist, reach, and climb as required.
Safely lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
Work in refrigerated and freezer environments (approximately 36°F to -15°F).
Operate walk-behind equipment, including pump jacks.
Accurately pick items and quantities using pick slips or order documentation.
Remove cases from storage racks and build pallets according to order requirements.
Transport pallets using a pump jack until orders are complete.
Follow proper pick locations and sequencing to ensure order accuracy.
Stage completed pallets at designated dock doors.
Comply with all HACCP and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies.
Report safety concerns, hazards, or incidents immediately to supervision.
Report product discrepancies, damages, or location issues.
Inspect assigned equipment daily and report any safety issues.
Duties and Performance Expectations
Follow RF system or order instructions to pick customer orders accurately.
Build stable, well-stacked pallets in accordance with warehouse standards.
Achieve an average pick rate of 100 packages per hour by the 90th day of employment.
Safely navigate the warehouse while maintaining a strong safety record.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Inspect products for damage and report issues promptly.
Handle and transport product carefully to prevent damage.
Maintain assigned equipment in good working condition.
Meet productivity, accuracy, and safety standards, including scheduled breaks (30-minute unpaid meal break and 15-minute paid rest break).
