We are looking to add a dynamic, dedicated full time Receptionist to our thriving practice. The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their work, sees challenges as opportunities and has a consistently positive attitude.

Responsibilities:

Greet and welcome patients and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor
Check in/out patients, collect payments
Perform data entry tasks, including patient demographics, insurance information, and verify insurance eligibility
Request medical records and obtain referrals from primary care provider/referring provider
Screen telephone calls and make appointments
Scan documents and cards into patient charts
Willingness and ability to assist in other office duties as needed and provide general administrative support to the office staff
Maintain a clean and organized front desk area

Qualifications & Skills:

High School degree required; some college course work preferred
1+ years medical receptionist experience, ophthalmology preferred
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks
Personable and attentive to patients' needs
Must be well-organized with attention to detail
Must be proficient in basic computer skills; experience using an electronic medical record system preferred
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
Professional appearance and demeanor
Bilingual a plus

MEPS operates Monday through Friday at two offices in Rockville and Gaithersburg.
