Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across designated routes
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks
- Drive various types of trucks including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and freight carriers
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Follow planned routes for timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and safety standards
- Assist with route driving, ensuring accurate delivery schedules and customer satisfaction
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, freight movements, and vehicle maintenance reports
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and pickups
Experience
- No prior truck driving experience required — we provide comprehensive training programs for new drivers
- Basic understanding of manual transmission operation preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Prior experience with delivery driving or commercial driving is a plus but not necessary
- Familiarity with freight handling, load & unload procedures, or warehouse operations is beneficial
- Willingness to learn about different truck types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks
- Ability to follow safety protocols diligently and work in a fast-paced environment
