Overview
We are seeking an experienced and personable Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, engaging with patrons, and ensuring a memorable experience in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of POS systems is preferred to facilitate smooth transactions. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong time management, food safety awareness, and effective cash handling skills.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner to enhance their experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards
- Manage cash register operations, including POS transactions using TOAST
- Restock bar supplies and monitor inventory levels to ensure availability of products
- Uphold responsible alcohol service policies and verify guest identification as required
- Handle customer inquiries regarding menu items, drink options, and specials
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems such as TOAST
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
- Excellent customer service abilities with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Experience in fine dining, nightclub, banquet, or food service environments is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, sales transactions, and retail math calculations
- Effective communication skills to interact with guests and team members seamlessly
- Experience with serving alcohol responsibly and understanding beverage preparation techniques such as brewing or bartending basics
- Background in hospitality or the food industry is preferred for a smooth integration into our team
