Main Responsibilities:
- Performs tasks involved in the upkeep, maintenance, and repairs of buildings and equipment.
- Responsible for selecting the proper tools and techniques to complete various maintenance assignments.
- Perform tasks using basic problem solving
- Ability to recognize technical issues for example with HVAC and escalate to maintenance as necessary
- Plan, organize, communicate, and cooperate with others to ensure that projects are completed.
- Work with colleagues and vendors in order to accomplish all tasks assigned as necessary.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Able to put together and manuever office furniture
- Informs supervisor of hazardous conditions and unserviceable items.
- Takes periodic inventory of maintenance stock and equipment as required.
- Completes all job duties according to prescribed safety procedures
- Office maintenance consisting of moving furniture and boxes, basic office repairs, ensuring offices are thoroughly cleaned and ready for new/visiting occupants.
- May include general office housekeeping consisting of cleaning glass doors, hanging light bulbs, vacuuming rugs, discarding trash and recyclable materials.
- Minor repairs such as file cabinet locks and light cabinetry for furniture repairs.
- May also include setting up conference rooms for special events and meetings by adhering to special client requirements including configuration of tables, lighting and shading functionality, etc.
- Picture hanging and hanging of white boards.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Standing, walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing up to 8 hours per day.
- Lifting up to 50lbs
- Indoor working conditions
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or comparable work experience
- Must possess a minimum of one year facilities maintenance experience
- Computer skills-Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
- Must possess a strong sense of urgency
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent communication, organizational and follow up skills
- Must be able to multi-task
