We're looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager to round out our management team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
This role involves managing staff, ensuring food quality and safety standards, controlling inventory, and supporting overall business growth. The Assistant General Manager will play a crucial part in maintaining operational excellence and fostering a positive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations.
- Supervise and train the team to ensure high standards of food preparation, customer service, and safety protocols.
- Ensure company policies are upheld at all times.
- Oversee food safety compliance, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
- Manage inventory control and minimize waste.
- Handle cash management duties, including cash handling accuracy and reconciliation.
- Assist the General Manager in scheduling and labor management.
- Participate in interviewing and hiring new team members to build a skilled workforce.
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
Experience
- Proven management experience within the food industry or hospitality sector, ideally with assistant manager or supervisory roles.
- Extensive background in restaurant management including full service or quick service environments.
- Hands-on experience with kitchen operations management.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in team management, training & development, interviewing, and staff supervision.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling and sanitation standards.
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
