The Parks Activation Team at Montgomery Parks is hiring Special Event Assistants to help bring our events and programs to life! This role will assist with special events and programs throughout the year such as Parks Summer Concert Series, Sligo Creek Fest, Parks Ale Trail, Shakespeare Beyond, Parks Playhouse Junior, Acoustics & Ales, and other community events. What You’ll Do
Assist with the set up and breakdown of event spaces and equipment including tables, chairs, tents, signage, etc.
Assist with loading and unloading vehicles for events.
Monitor events on-site, including all event activities, ensuring safety and success of the event.
Engage with event attendees and provide friendly, helpful customer service.
Help maintain our special events inventory and warehouse located in Gaithersburg, MD.
Provide support to Parks Activation staff.
Perform related tasks as required.
When You’ll Work
Opportunities to work will be according to event schedule throughout the year, and will include weekdays, weekends, mornings, evenings, and some holidays.

This position is based out of Gaithersburg, MD and works at park locations throughout Montgomery County.

Position pays at a rate of $15.45 to $19.75 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
