Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and attentive Server to join our vibrant food service team. As a key member of our hospitality staff, you will deliver exceptional guest experiences by providing attentive, friendly, and efficient service in a lively dining environment. Your role is vital in ensuring guests feel welcomed, valued, and satisfied from their first greeting to their final farewell. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and relay orders promptly to the kitchen
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend popular dishes, and upsell items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Monitor guest needs throughout their visit, respond promptly to requests, and ensure a high level of customer service at all times
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems, process payments, and give correct change
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, assist with bussing and resetting tables as needed, ensuring sanitation standards are met
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightclub settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse guests
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while multitasking between serving, cashiering, and cleaning duties
- Culinary experience or food handling knowledge is highly desirable
- Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cashiering and processing payments accurately
- Previous experience in serving roles including host/hostess duties or bussing is advantageous
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment
