Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Bartender to oversee the daily operations of our bar and ensure an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food and beverage management. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing staff, inventory, and customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Manage all aspects of bar operations, including staffing, inventory control, and customer service.
- Train and develop bar staff in food handling, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards.
- Oversee the preparation of beverages and food items while maintaining high quality standards.
- Utilize POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) for efficient order processing and cash handling.
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stock takes to manage costs effectively.
- Develop and implement training programs for staff to enhance their skills in bartending and hospitality management.
- Create a welcoming atmosphere for guests while ensuring prompt service during busy periods.
- Collaborate with kitchen management to coordinate food production for bar menus.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues to ensure satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience in bar management or a similar role within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with quick service & fast food restaurant operations is beneficial.
- Experience with inventory control, budgeting, and financial management in a restaurant setting.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train, supervise, and motivate team members.
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in fine dining or casual dining establishments is advantageous.
- Knowledge of catering services and banquet operations is a plus.
- A background in hospitality management or restaurant management is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
