Chai Pani is an Indian street food restaurant that began in 2009 as a humble 50-seat spot in Asheville, North Carolina. Since then, we’ve grown into a multi-state restaurant group that includes Chai Pani, Botiwalla, and our spice company, Spicewalla. In India, chai pani is slang for going out for a cup of tea, a tasty bite, a snack, or “a little something.” For us, it represents much more: groundbreaking, mindblasting, affordable, and delicious Indian street food - driven by a passion for making people happy and creating genuine connections through good food and compassionate hospitality.
Our mission is to serve extraordinary, mindblasting food and hospitality that changes the perception of Indian cuisine in America.
