Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Certified Phlebotomist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing venipuncture and capillary blood collection while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and accurate specimen handling. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures on patients of all ages
Properly label, process, and transport specimens in accordance with established protocols
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Ensure compliance with all safety, infection control, and HIPAA regulations
Prepare patients for blood draws and explain procedures to reduce anxiety
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the phlebotomy area
Monitor and restock supplies as needed
Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times

Qualifications:

Certification as a Phlebotomist required (CPT or equivalent)
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 2 year of phlebotomy experience preferred
Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques and specimen handling
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
