Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools efficiently using commercial dishwashing equipment or manual methods.
- Ensure all kitchenware is sanitized and stored properly to meet health standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, or portioning items under supervision.
- Support catering and banquet events by preparing ingredients and maintaining cleanliness of workstations.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, wiping down surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to uphold safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy hours and special events.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with basic food handling, cleaning protocols, and kitchen safety practices.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items or bending.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organization.
- Experience with food preparation or catering is a plus; banquet experience is especially valued.
- Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude in fast-paced settings.
