Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist with meal assembly to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards, maintaining high quality and consistency
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Support the dishwashing station by ensuring all dishes, cookware, and utensils are properly sanitized and available for use
- Assist with food handling procedures, including proper storage, labeling, and inventory management of ingredients
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to execute menu planning tasks and support catering or special event needs when required
Experience
- Previous experience in a food industry setting such as restaurants, catering services, or cafeterias is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment, knife skills, and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous
- Experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles can be beneficial for understanding specialized meal requirements
