Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server 21+ to join our fine dining establishment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and a strong understanding of food service operations. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests enjoy their dining experience from start to finish.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the OpenTable system.
- Provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials and wine pairings.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and drinks to tables while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Manage guest relations by addressing any concerns or special requests promptly and courteously.
- Process payments accurately using the cash register, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area throughout service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless communication regarding orders and special requests.
- Uphold the restaurant's standards for service quality, cleanliness, and professionalism at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant settings is preferred.
- Strong guest services skills with an emphasis on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing checks efficiently.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures is essential.
- Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A team player who can work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the overall dining experience.
