The Henley Park Hotel, located near the Convention Center, has outstanding opportunities for excellent servers. We are currently hiring for a Full-Time Server to work in the restaurant.
The main responsibility is to serve food and beverage to guests in a courteous and friendly manner in accordance with established hotel guest service standards.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and timely manner.
- Take food and drink orders accurately using the POS system.
- Provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials and promotions.
- Upsell food and beverage items to enhance the guest experience.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register with precision.
- Ensure that all food safety standards are met during preparation and service.
- Assist in bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and operating a POS system is beneficial.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential for maintaining health standards.
- Strong guest relations skills to foster a welcoming environment for all patrons.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere while managing multiple tasks.
The successful candidate will have a great personality and excellent customer service skills. Candidates for the Server position must be able to work a flexible schedule. The Server position requires the ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
