Duties
- Assist with meal preparation to ensure timely service of nutritious dishes
- Prepare food items according to established recipes, standards, and safety guidelines
- Serve meals to residents or customers in a friendly, professional manner
- Handle food safely by following proper hygiene protocols and food handling procedures
- Support kitchen operations by cleaning utensils, equipment, and work areas regularly
- Contribute to catering events or special meal services as needed
- Maintain accurate records of food inventory and supplies
Requirements
- Previous experience in dietary departments, food service, or related roles preferred
- Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation and food handling
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment with excellent attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
- Familiarity with restaurant or catering experience is a plus
- Basic understanding of kitchen safety protocols and sanitation practices
