Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Kitchen Manager/ Assistant Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee daily kitchen operations and the restaurants as whole. Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs.
- Supervise kitchen staff through effective training, development, and performance management to maintain a motivated and skilled team.
- Implement food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations; conduct regular inspections to uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service flow during peak hours in a quick service or casual dining environment.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
- Assist in budgeting, labor scheduling, and shift management to maximize operational efficiency while maintaining high-quality service standards.
Skills
- Extensive experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management within the food industry.
- Proven supervisory skills with a background in staff training, team management, and interviewing potential team members.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; adept at cash handling and transaction processing.
- Familiarity with inventory control practices, food safety regulations, and sanitation procedures.
- Experience managing operations in both fine dining and casual or quick service restaurant settings; banquet or catering experience is a plus.
- Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork, foster hospitality excellence, and promote continuous improvement.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities such as shift management, food production oversight, and customer service excellence simultaneously.
