Position Description: An Ada's on the River bartender crafts high-end cocktails, provides expert beverage recommendations (including wine pairings), and delivers exceptional, personalized service in an upscale setting. Key duties include meticulous menu knowledge, maintaining a pristine bar, and managing inventory, ensuring a sophisticated guest experience.
Position Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Elevated Hospitality: Welcome guests, curate a welcoming atmosphere, engage in polite conversation, and provide anticipated service.
- Mixology & Service: Prepare high-quality cocktails, serve wine/spirits, and make recommendations from the drink menu to enhance dining.
- Menu Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of menus, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens.
- Bar Maintenance: Ensure the bar area, tools, and glassware are pristine, following strict sanitation standards.
- Order Management: Efficiently manage guest orders for both the bar. Knowledgeable of Toast POS.
- Teamwork: Work closely with service staff, managers, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
- Professionalism: Handle guest concerns with professionalism and maintain high standards of appearance.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Qualifications -
Key Qualifications:
- Experience: 2 - 3 years of experience as a bartender in a fine dining, upscale, or luxury restaurant or hotel.
- Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and classic cocktails.
- Technical Skill: Proficiency in POS systems (e.g., Toast).
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, ability to multitask, and a passion for hospitality.
