Overview
We are seeking a skilled Sushi Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating exquisite sushi dishes and delivering exceptional culinary experiences in a high-end dining environment.
Duties
- Prepare a variety of sushi rolls, sashimi, and nigiri with precision and artistry
- Ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients used in sushi preparation
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate food orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the sushi station
- Uphold high standards of food safety and sanitation practices
- Assist in developing new sushi menu items
Qualifications
- Previous experience working as a Sushi Chef in a fine dining restaurant or similar setting
- Proficient in all aspects of sushi preparation techniques
- Knowledge of Japanese cuisine and traditional sushi styles
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
- Strong knife skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Certification in food handling and safety is preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
