We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing meals according to our menu specifications while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment.
- Assist with menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
- Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines, including proper food handling techniques.
- Participate in catering events as needed, assisting with food preparation and service.
- Support dietary aides in preparing meals that meet specific dietary requirements when necessary.
Skills
- Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or food service environment.
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety, and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Familiarity with menu planning and catering services is a plus.
