Join our dedicated team as a Peer Recovery Supervisor, where you will lead and support individuals on their journey to recovery from behavioral health and addiction challenges. In this vital role, you will oversee peer recovery specialists, coordinate recovery services, and foster a compassionate environment that empowers clients to achieve lasting wellness. Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor peer recovery specialists, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to enhance service delivery.
- Coordinate recovery programs and facilitate group sessions focused on mental health counseling, addiction recovery, and behavioral health support.
- Conduct crisis intervention and crisis management when clients experience urgent or emergent situations, ensuring safety and appropriate response.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document client progress, treatment plans, and service activities accurately and efficiently.
- Implement motivational interviewing techniques to engage clients in their recovery process and foster motivation for change.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, counselors, and healthcare providers to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Promote a supportive environment by providing mentoring and peer support that encourages client empowerment and resilience.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):
- YOU MUST HAVE COMPLETED PEER RECOVERY SPECIALIST TRAINING AND BE CERTIFIED BY THE MARYLAND ADDICTION AND BEHAVIORAL-HEALTH PROFESSIONALS CERTIFICATION BOARD (MABPCB).
Requirements:
- Proven experience in crisis intervention, crisis management, or behavioral health settings.
- Strong background in mental health counseling, addiction counseling, or social work with relevant certifications preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor peers and facilitate group or individual recovery sessions effectively.
- Knowledge of motivational interviewing techniques and best practices in behavioral health interventions.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.

Pay: $26.00 - $27.00 per hour
