Overview
Our Truck Driver operates medium-duty trucks to transport equipment, goods, and materials to various locations throughout the Washington Metropolitan area in support of Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP) logistics operations at 999 North Capitol Street NE, Washington, DC 20002.
Responsibilities
- Operate medium-duty trucks to transport equipment, goods, and materials to various locations
- Assist with loading and unloading of equipment, ensuring proper placement and securement
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance
- Maintain the vehicle by regularly checking its exterior and keeping it clean and in good working condition
- Assist with monitoring of vehicle maintenance
- Maintain delivery logs and documentation
- Coordinate delivery schedules with site personnel
- Secure loads in accordance with DOT standards
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to pass a DOJ Background Investigation to obtain equivalent of Public Trust Clearance.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one (1) year of experience operating medium-duty trucks
- Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle class (CDL if required by vehicle weight rating)
- Clean driving record
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local transportation regulations
Schedule Full-time; Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM.
Pay: $25.07 per hour
