We are seeking an experienced and passionate Line Cook to join our fine-dining Italian restaurant team. Our kitchen is built around traditional techniques, high-quality ingredients, handmade pastas, wood-fired preparations, and from-scratch cooking. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and takes pride in executing refined dishes with consistency, precision, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute menu items according to chef specifications and fine-dining presentation standards
- Work multiple stations including sauté, grill, pasta, pantry, and wood-fired oven (& pizzas) as needed
- Prepare sauces, stocks, pasta, breads, desserts, and other components from scratch
- Maintain exceptional food quality, timing, consistency, and cleanliness during service
- Follow all recipes, portion controls, and plating guidelines accurately
- Assist with daily prep production, inventory rotation, and station organization
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards
- Communicate effectively with chefs and kitchen staff during high-volume service
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout shifts
- Upkeep of kitchen and equipment cleanliness through weekly cleaning schedule adhereance
- Support teamwork and contribute to a positive, professional & clean kitchen culture
Qualifications
- 3+ years of line cook experience in a fine-dining or upscale scratch kitchen preferred
- Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, classical cooking techniques, and fresh pasta production, pizza production & steak temperatures
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume environment
- Strong knife skills and understanding of proper food handling procedures
- Experience with wood-fired ovens, seafood, fresh pasta, and sauce work is a plus
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented with strong attention to detail
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays (weekend availability is a must)
