Job Overview
We are looking for a multi-dimensional P/T & F/T Pro Line Cooks for our two restaurant locations of Fish Head Cantina and The Broken Oar Bar & Grill. Each person in our kitchen does prep, ordering, stocking, multiple line assignments at once, assist with caterings/parties, and more. We are a very busy lunch, dinner and late night venue. We also cater onsite/offsite so something interesting is always going on. Must have experience on grill, broil, fry, flat top, saute, etc.; Good knife skills; Good interpersonal skills; And be the ultimate team member. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items efficiently, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Assist with menu planning and ingredient prep to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Use knife skills and culinary techniques to prepare ingredients for various dishes
- Support catering events and special meal preparations as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and exceptional guest satisfaction
Requirements
- Prior experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service environments, including restaurant or culinary settings
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Experience with dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
Pay: $16.00 - $28.00 per hour
