Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with the kitchen and bar staff
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Manage table settings, bussing, and resetting tables efficiently to ensure smooth flow of service
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menu offerings, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist guests with selections
- Support food preparation and kitchen staff when needed, demonstrating teamwork in a fast-paced environment such as a nightclub or fine dining restaurant
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles preferred; experience with fine dining or nightlife venues is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle diverse customer needs
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation procedures, and food safety regulations
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and billing purposes
- Experience in serving, bussing, hosting/hostess duties, or hospitality roles is desirable
- Basic understanding of food industry operations including food preparation and food safety protocols
