Work schedule and Company Details:
We are looking for 2 different schedules. One is Monday through Friday, from 9 am- 5 pm (days off will be Saturday and Sunday). The second is Sunday through Thursday from 9am-5pm (days off will be Friday and Saturday). Team members have a pathway to growth and career potential at Cafe Kreyol, and often overtime is offered (time and a half pay). We are looking for candidates looking to stay with, and grow with the company, pick up open shifts, participate in traveling on business trips (coffee related trade shows), contribute to the positive and hard working culture of the company, and grow in their knowledge of specialty coffee.
Not required but a plus, would be traveling with the team to Industry Trade shows. At these Trade Shows, team members share our product and our story with potential customers. This requires weekend availability, ability to travel, willingness to go into overtime, an outgoing personality, and an ability to function well in fast paced conversations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coach warehouse team members
- Manage receiving, inventory movement, and storage organization
- Track inventory accuracy and investigate discrepancies
- Improve workflow and efficiency
- Package finished products (bagging, sealing, labeling, fulfillment)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
- Develop SOPs and train staff
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
- Equipment maintenance
- Comply with health and safety regulations
- Setting up and participation in coffee cuppings and quality control
- Ability to lift 50 lbs over your head, Ability to lift 150 lbs along with someone else's help repeatedly (60 - 70 kg coffee sacks that are required to be moved and organized)
Experience, Skills, Requirements:
- We care more about leadership, accountability, and systems thinking than coffee experience
- Desire to learn and grow in knowledge about specialty coffee is required
- Candidate will be positive, and contribute to the company culture
- Previous experience in the coffee industry is not necessary, but appreciated
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Problem solving ability
- Excellent Time Management / Motivation
- Ability lead by example
- Strong ability to listen and communicate
- Full-time, permanent schedule (not seasonal or part-time)
