Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments, intake evaluations, and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to ensure accurate clinical documentation
Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA)
Provide specialized counseling for clients with co-occurring disorders, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD, chronic pain, addiction issues, grief, gender identity concerns, and other mental health challenges
Implement crisis management techniques and crisis intervention strategies to ensure client safety and stability during emergencies or acute episodes
Utilize telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions while adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines
Maintain detailed clinical documentation according to medical records standards and ensure compliance with confidentiality protocols
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for case management, patient care planning, and research initiatives to enhance treatment outcomes

Skills

Proven expertise in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, social work practices, and evidence-based interventions
Strong skills in motivational interviewing and crisis intervention to motivate clients toward positive change and manage urgent situations effectively
Experience working with children, adolescents, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and those in inpatient or outpatient settings
Knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation; familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes
Ability to conduct intake assessments and comprehensive case management utilizing medical terminology and clinical research insights
Excellent communication skills for engaging clients from diverse backgrounds while adhering to clinical documentation standards
Familiarity with telehealth technology platforms and remote service delivery best practices
