We are looking for reliable 1/2 day commitments into the fall winter months with customer service and clinical skillsets.
Golden Days Medical assistants are cross-trained to perform administrative and clinical duties, Medical assistants are instrumental in helping patients feel at ease in the providers office and often explain the providers instructions.
A typical day of a Golden Days Medical Assistant:
- Clinical Duties (may include, but not limited to):
- Taking medical histories
- Explaining treatment procedures to patients
- Preparing patients for examinations
- Assisting the physician during examinations
- Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
- Performing basic laboratory tests
- Instructing patients about medication and special diets
- Preparing and administering medications, including by intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections—including vaccinations/immunizations, as directed by a physician or other licensed provider (e.g., a nurse practitioner or physician assistant)
- Transmitting prescription refills as directed
- Phlebotomy
- Taking electrocardiograms
- Wound care and changing dressings
Administrative Duties (may include, but not limited to):
- Using computer applications
- Answering telephones
- Welcoming patients
- Updating and filing patient medical records
- Coding and filling out insurance forms
- Scheduling appointments
- Arranging for hospital admissions and laboratory services
- Handling correspondence, billing, and bookkeeping
You Must
- Have and active and Valid License and need to provide proof of current license
- Have a current CPR certification – need to provide proof of current certification
- Be able to check temperature using a thermometer (Golden Days to provide training as needed)
- Be able to work in an outdoor environment (subject to change)
- Have strong English skills
- Be able to repeatedly climb a 3-step ladder, and perform bending, lifting, twisting, reaching, squeezing, and standing for long periods of time
- Have strong communication and customer service skills
- Have strong technology skills (navigate cell phone or tablet & texting)
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Customer service: 2 years (Preferred)
- Clinical : 1 year (Preferred)
- Front Desk/Admin: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- CCMA Certification (Preferred)
