Position Description:
Join an established transportation company and drive a company-provided 26-foot straight truck on local routes. This is a full-time, business-hours position based in Glen Burnie, MD, with drivers home each day.

We support final-mile delivery, airport freight, expedited transportation, dedicated routes, cross-dock, warehousing, and distribution. We are looking for a dependable, safety-focused professional to join our Sterling team.
What You’ll Do

Safely operate a company-provided 26-foot straight truck on local delivery routes.

Complete pickups and deliveries accurately, professionally, and on schedule.

Load, unload, and move freight using a pallet jack when required.

Inspect the vehicle before and after each shift and promptly report safety or maintenance concerns.

Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and obtain required proof of delivery.

Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route progress, delays, or customer concerns.

Provide courteous service at customer and consignee locations.

Follow company safety procedures and all applicable transportation requirements.
What We’re Looking For

At least two years of professional delivery or commercial driving experience (required).

Valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle record.

Ability to safely operate a 26-foot straight truck; no CDL required for this position.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and use a pallet jack.

Reliable attendance, professional communication, and strong customer-service skills.

Ability to complete required pre-employment and compliance screening.
