Box Truck Driver – OTR / Regional
Capital Corridor Logistics, LLC is seeking an experienced, dependable, and safety-focused Box Truck Driver to join our growing transportation operation.
We are looking for a professional driver who understands that this job is more than simply driving a truck. You should understand life on the road, managing your time, protecting freight, taking care of equipment, and completing deliveries safely and on schedule.
Compensation
- 20% of gross load revenue
- Performance-based bonus incentives

Position Details
- Position: Box Truck Driver
- Base Location: Maryland
- Work: Regional / OTR
- Equipment: 24–26 ft Box Truck
- Employment: Full-Time
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience required
- Regional or OTR experience strongly preferred

Safety & Protection of Equipment and Freight
Safety is a top priority.
The driver is responsible for safely operating the vehicle and protecting both company equipment and customer freight.
Responsibilities include:
- Safely operate the box truck at all times
- Properly secure and protect all freight
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Protect the truck from unnecessary damage, abuse, and excessive wear
- Maintain a clean and organized truck
- Report mechanical problems immediately
- Report accidents, cargo damage, or safety concerns immediately
- Follow applicable DOT and company safety requirements
- Adjust driving for traffic, weather, road, and load conditions
- Treat the truck, equipment, and customer freight as if they were your own
Driver Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver freight safely and on time
- Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules
- Load and unload freight as required
- Properly secure cargo
- Complete required delivery and pickup documentation
- Maintain communication with operations
- Provide professional customer service
- Maintain accurate records
- Handle unexpected road or delivery situations professionally
- Keep the company truck clean and properly maintained
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
- Clean driving record required
- Valid driver's license
- Box truck/straight truck experience preferred
- Regional or OTR experience preferred
- Reliable and dependable
- Strong safety record and responsible driving habits
- Able to pass required background and driving-record checks
- Able to safely handle freight and perform physical job duties
- Comfortable working independently and spending time on the road
- Must be able to reliably report to the Maryland base as required
Regional & OTR Opportunities
We offer both Regional and OTR opportunities depending on freight availability and driver preference.
Drivers should be comfortable with the responsibilities that come with working on the road, including managing their time, maintaining communication, protecting freight, and taking care of the equipment.
