We are a new restaurant so you will be part of the opening team. Our winery has been in operation for seven years producing several styles of wine including sparking. The restaurant model is tapas style discuss with latin, French, and Italian fusion dishes.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and drinks.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems ensuring timely processing of sales transactions.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining proper beverage service standards.
- Upsell menu items by recommending specials, wine pairings, or premium spirits to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Manage cash handling and processing of payments accurately while maintaining a balanced cash drawer throughout your shift.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery while managing guest relations with professionalism and warmth.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service roles with a background in fine dining environments preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems for order entry and sales processing.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and handle diverse needs effectively.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service periods without compromising quality.
- Knowledge of wine varieties, food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations. Will train the right candidate.

Tips will be paid in addition to the hourly rate and there is no tip pooling. You keep what you earn with the expection of a small percentage that will be deducted to tip out the back of the house.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
