High-End Brewery & Hospitality Venue
About the Role
We are seeking a talented, creative, and highly motivated Chef / Kitchen Leader to take ownership of our high-end food trailer operation at a fast-paced brewery featuring craft beer, wine, and handcrafted mixed drinks.
This is an opportunity for a chef who wants more than just a kitchen job. We are looking for someone with a passion for exceptional food, a strong sense of leadership, and the drive to help build a successful food program that elevates the entire guest experience.
The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume environment, takes pride in quality and presentation, and understands how to create an exciting, approachable menu that complements a dynamic brewery and bar atmosphere. We value creativity, initiative, accountability, and a genuine desire to contribute to the overall success of the venue.
Key Responsibilities
- Menu Development & Creativity: Create and execute an elevated, creative menu that stands out while remaining practical and efficient for a food trailer kitchen.
- Kitchen Leadership: Lead by example, establish high standards, motivate team members, and foster a positive, professional, team-oriented culture.
- High-Volume Execution: Manage fast-paced service while maintaining exceptional food quality, consistency, presentation, and ticket times.
- Operational Ownership: Oversee daily kitchen operations, including prep, inventory, ordering, food costs, portion control, waste reduction, and equipment maintenance.
- Food Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain rigorous sanitation standards and ensure compliance with all applicable food safety regulations.
- Guest Experience: Deliver food that complements our brewery, wine, and cocktail offerings while creating a memorable experience for our guests.
- Catering & Special Events: Assist in developing and executing catering menus, private events, brewery functions, and special food offerings that generate additional revenue.
- Business Growth: Bring fresh ideas, identify opportunities to improve profitability, and actively contribute to the growth and success of the food program.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with venue management, bartenders, and other team members to coordinate service, events, promotions, and seasonal offerings.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a chef, kitchen manager, or lead cook in a high-volume food service environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and hold a team accountable.
- A creative mindset and enthusiasm for developing unique, high-quality menu offerings.
- The ability to stay organized, calm, and solution-oriented during busy service periods.
- A strong understanding of food costs, inventory management, labor efficiency, and kitchen profitability.
- A hands-on work ethic and willingness to take ownership of daily operations.
- Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- A self-starter mentality with a genuine desire to make a meaningful contribution to the venue's success.
- Catering, private events, and large-group food service experience is a plus.
- Food safety certification, or the ability to obtain required certification, as applicable.
The Ideal Candidate
You are passionate about food, take pride in your craft, and enjoy the challenge of creating something special in a fast-paced environment. You understand that success requires more than cooking great food—it takes leadership, consistency, financial awareness, teamwork, and a willingness to go above and beyond.
You see the bigger picture, bring solutions instead of excuses, and want to help shape a food program that becomes an essential part of the venue's identity and success.
Why Join Us?
