Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a welcoming atmosphere
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and relay orders efficiently to kitchen staff
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and upselling additional menu items like wine or cocktails
- Provide expert knowledge on menu offerings, including wine pairings, spirits, cocktails, and food ingredients to enhance guest experience
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Foster positive guest relations through attentive service, addressing questions or concerns with professionalism and enthusiasm
Qualifications
- Previous food service experience in restaurants, fine dining establishments, or nightlife venues such as nightclubs is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink presentation techniques
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales opportunities
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing cash transactions
- Culinary experience or food preparation knowledge is a plus but not required
- Outstanding customer service skills with a friendly attitude that creates memorable guest experiences
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry
- Experience with OpenTable reservations system is advantageous
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment
