Qualifications:
- 3 years’ experience as a Phlebotomy Technician required.
- 2 years teaching or training in healthcare field required.
- Associate degree or successful completion of 60 college credit hours preferred
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Knowledge of teaching methods, curriculum, and education programs
- Ability to teach and control the behavior of students
- Knowledge of academic and/or vocational education criteria
- Knowledge of and ability to apply current education methodologies and techniques
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Knowledge in the following content areas:
- Various blood collection methods
- Collection devices
- Syringes
- Capillary skin puncture
- Needles
- Blood culture
- Specimen collection for all ages

- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Must be a self-starter and able to multitask
- Strong computer skills
- Demonstrated ability and experience to engage the interest of adult learner

- Demonstrated ability to evaluate tests and measurements of achievement
- Demonstrated willingness to be held accountable for students results
- Sensitive to the needs of adult learners and respectful of learner confidentiality
- Experience working with volunteers and consultants
- Strong cultural competency skills, including excellent ability to communicate with a diverse population

- This position will sit in an open/shared office environment with moderate noise levels.
- Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this position is currently working a hybrid model, telework and on-site. Schedule will be determined by the Senior Leadership Team.
