Duties

Safely operate your personal vehicle, including box trucks or similar vehicles, to deliver packages and materials to various locations.
Load and unload items using manual handling techniques, ensuring safe lifting practices and adherence to weight handling regulations.
Follow designated routes while adhering to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards for commercial driving.
Use mobile devices or GPS systems for route navigation and delivery tracking, maintaining communication with dispatch as needed.
Assist with warehouse operations when required, including material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks or forklifts for moving goods within the facility.
Provide excellent customer service by ensuring deliveries are accurate, timely, and handled professionally.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure your personal vehicle remains in optimal condition for daily deliveries.

Experience

Prior delivery driver experience preferred, especially with courier or driver roles involving route driving and customer interaction.
Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is advantageous for understanding loading/unloading procedures.
Experience operating commercial trucks, box trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment is a plus.
Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles and safe lifting practices is desirable.
Ability to adhere strictly to traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safety protocols during all aspects of delivery driving.
Strong manual handling skills with an emphasis on heavy lifting and proper load management in the workplace.
Excellent communication skills using mobile devices for routing updates and customer interactions.
