Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Fast Casual Cashier to join our vibrant food service team. This role is perfect for individuals with a passion for customer service, food industry experience, and a positive attitude. The cashier will be responsible for providing exceptional service in a quick-paced environment, ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. Responsibilities

Greet customers promptly and courteously, creating a welcoming atmosphere
Take customer orders accurately using POS systems
Handle cash transactions efficiently, including cash handling and basic math calculations
Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
Maintain cleanliness of the cashier station, dining area, and food prep zones
Assist with food preparation, food handling, and bussing as needed
Ensure proper food safety procedures are followed at all times
Manage order flow during peak hours to minimize wait times
Support team members with general duties such as restocking supplies and maintaining sanitation

Skills

Previous experience in food service, quick service & fast food restaurants, or café environments
Familiarity with POS systems
Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math applications
Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods effectively
Ability to work well within a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and customers
