Responsibilities

Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, vital signs measurement, and documentation of medical histories using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
Support clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, medication administration, X-ray assistance, and basic life support during emergencies.
Manage patient records accurately, including medical documentation, ICD coding, and updating electronic health records (EHR/EMR).
Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, ensuring comfort, and facilitating efficient flow within outpatient clinics or inpatient units.
Support hospital medicine teams with tasks like physiology assessments, anatomy-related procedures, and hospital experience protocols.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas while adhering to safety standards in high-acuity environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or PICU settings.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless coordination of care across specialties including geriatrics, medical-surgical units, internal medicine, and emergency medicine.

Requirements

Prior experience in medical office settings or hospital environments with exposure to outpatient or inpatient care.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and ICD coding principles.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent; additional certifications such as phlebotomy or medication administration are advantageous.
Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR/EHR systems), EMR management, and medical documentation practices.
Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate empathy in diverse healthcare contexts.
Experience working in specialized areas such as dermatology, urgent care, internal medicine, or trauma centers is preferred but not required.
Ability to adapt quickly to fast-paced environments like emergency medicine units or Level II trauma centers while maintaining attention to detail.
