Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic server(s) to join our team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest services, ensuring that patrons have a memorable dining experience. As a server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
*** Salary is combination of base salary ($10/hr) with pooled tips. The average range for serves at Conduit Road Public House has been ~$25/hr up to ~$50/hr. This is just a historic average not a guarantee, however, no server will make less than the DC minimum wage of $17.50/hr. ***
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus in a friendly manner.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using the restaurant's ordering system.
- Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring presentation meets our fine dining standards.
- Monitor tables for guest satisfaction and address any needs or concerns promptly.
- Process payments efficiently using cash handling and cash register skills.
- Adhere to food safety and handling guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of meals.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
- Utilize OpenTable or similar reservation systems to manage guest seating efficiently.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables effectively during busy periods.
- Proven sales abilities to promote menu items and enhance guest experiences.
- Experience in fine dining settings is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in cash handling procedures and operating cash registers.
- Exceptional guest service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Familiarity with restaurants POS Toast is a plus.
- ABRA License is a plus
