**Job Overview:**
As a Sous Chef you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of our restaurant. Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will oversee all kitchen hourly positions, providing leadership and ensuring the consistent execution of our quality standards, operating systems, procedures, philosophies, and culture. We are seeking a focused, hardworking, team oriented Chef with a strong background in cooking, organization and leadership.
**Responsibilities:**
- Manage and supervise hourly Team Members to maaintain top food quality and sanitation standards.
- Ensure efficient restaurant operations by overseeing prep and recipe adhearance.
- Implement and maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety
- Collaborate with the front of the house team to ensure timely food running and expo line always being covered.
- Ensure line checks and production are both completed in compliance with NYAJoe’s systems and standards.
-Ensure building, equipment, furniture, and fixtures are in good repair, clean and maintained on a regular basis.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, provide training, and address any issues
-Weekly scheduling
-Interviews, training and always coaching
**Requirements:**
- Previous experience in food service management or restaurant management is required
- Strong cooking skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
- Experience in inventory control is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
**Premium Skills:**
-Knowledge of financials, understanding how to impact the P&L. Driving cost of sales and labor.
**Physical Requirements**
-Sufficient mobility including, but not limited to bending, turning, twisting upper body, reaching.
-Able to transport and carry objects (such as cases of product and food plates) up to 50 pounds.
-Able to complete the job functions in a variety of temperature ranges, including cold temperatures in the cooler/freezer and warm temperatures in the kitchen area.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
