Position Overview: We are seeking a friendly, reliable, professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and efficient administrative operations.
Hours of Operation
Mon: 7:30 am - 5 pm
Tue: 6:30 am - 4 pm
Thu: 7:30 am - 5 pm
Fri: 7:30 am - 2 pm
Key Responsibilities
Patient Interaction:
- Greet and welcome patients with a warm and professional demeanor.
- Schedule and confirm appointments via phone, email, and text.
- Address patient inquiries regarding appointments, services, and insurance.
- Collect and update patient information, including medical histories and insurance details.
Administrative Duties:
- Manage multi-line phone systems, directing calls appropriately.
- Maintain appointment calendars to optimize daily schedules.
- Verify patient insurance benefits and assist with billing inquiries.
- Process in-office payments, create payment plans, understand and discuss financial options, issue receipts, and maintain accurate financial records.
Record Management:
- Maintain and update patient records using dental practice management software.
- Prepare charts and documentation for scheduled appointments.
- Ensure patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Office Support:
- Assist with recall and reactivation efforts to fill the schedule.
- Uphold practice systems and operational procedures
- Coordinate with the clinical team to ensure seamless patient flow.
- Perform light office cleaning and organization duties as needed to maintain a professional environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in dental or healthcare administration is a plus.
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar administrative role preferred.
- Proficiency in dental practice management software and general office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on delivering a positive patient experience.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
Compensation: We offer a competitive hourly wage ranging from $18 to $22 commensurate with experience and qualifications.
