Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting materials and equipment to and from construction sites while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Operate dump trucks to transport materials such as soil, gravel, and asphalt to various construction sites.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Collaborate with site managers and crew members to coordinate material delivery schedules.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials as needed, utilizing heavy equipment such as bulldozers, backhoes, and graders.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including quantities and types of materials transported.
- Follow all safety protocols while operating vehicles on construction sites.
- Perform routine maintenance on the truck and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with dump trucks or similar heavy vehicles.
- Experience in hauling heavy equipment from construction site to construction site.
- Experience in operating heavy equipment such as asphalt milling equipment, rollers, backhoes, skid steers, and pavers is preferred.
- Knowledge of construction site operations and safety regulations is essential.
- A valid commercial driver's license (CDL-A) is required.
