FACILITIES ASSISTANT
THE JOB
The &pizza Facilities Assistant supports the Facilities team in maintaining the
condition and functionality of our shops. This role plays a key part in ensuring our
locations are clean, safe, and fully operational by assisting with preventative
maintenance, minor repairs, and general upkeep. The ideal candidate is a hands-on
team player with a willingness to learn and support a variety of facility-related tasks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
● Support preventative maintenance procedures (e.g. filter changes, basic cleaning
of coils, light inspections)
● Help perform minor repairs (e.g. replacing light bulbs, unclogging drains, fixing
door handles)
● Update and manage work orders using our ticketing platform (open/close/update
tickets)
● Assist with HVAC filter changes, kitchen equipment cleaning, and other routine
tasks
● Support maintenance team in troubleshooting issues related to plumbing,
electrical, and ventilation systems
● Perform general upkeep tasks including painting, patching walls, and light
carpentry
● Conduct weekly facilities walk-throughs and help inspect work performed by
cleaning crews
● Assist in identifying and organizing parts and tools needed for repairs
● Provide on-site support during vendor or technician visits
● May perform other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE + SKILLS
● 1-2 years of experience in a maintenance, handyman, or facility support role
preferred
● Basic understanding of building systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
is a plus
● Willingness to learn and grow in a facilities/maintenance environment
● Familiarity with basic tools and maintenance tasks
● Comfortable using a smartphone and apps for tracking work orders
● Strong attention to detail and a team-first attitude
● Prior experience in restaurant or retail facilities support is a plus
REQUIREMENTS
● Good verbal and written communication skills
● Ability to stay organized and manage time effectively
● Comfortable working independently or alongside a team
● Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders or
bending
● Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (mileage will be
reimbursed)
● Active car insurance
● Background check required prior to employment
● Driving record check required prior to employment
● Assist with routine inspections of buildings to help identify maintenance needs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $52,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
