We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional roadside assistance and vehicle recovery services. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, safety, and the ability to operate various types of tow trucks, including flatbed models. The Tow Truck Driver will play a crucial role in assisting customers in distress while ensuring the safe transport of their vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and manual transmission vehicles, to safely transport disabled or damaged vehicles.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing their needs during stressful situations.
- Perform automotive diagnostics to assess vehicle conditions before towing.
- Manage conflicts professionally and calmly when dealing with distressed customers.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies while on duty.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided and any incidents that occur during operations.
- Assist with basic mechanical tasks as needed, leveraging skills in mechanics and automotive knowledge.
- Drive safely and responsibly at all times, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is preferred; experience driving tow trucks is essential.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle conflict management effectively.
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics and basic mechanical repairs is a plus.
- Experience operating forklifts is beneficial but not required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Must have a clean driving record and pass background checks as required by the company.
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory.
