Manor Country Club has a Restaurant Server opportunity for an experienced servers. Candidates should be self-motivated, attentive, and willing to provide excellent customer service to our members and their guests. At least 1 year of fast paced restaurant or Country Club experience is required. Responsibilities include customer service, operation of POS, standard cleaning duties, alcohol and food menu knowledge.
Manor Country Club is a private member-owned country club established in 1922, located in Rockville, MD. The club’s 850 member families enjoy two golf courses, an 18 hole championship course designed by Arthur Hills and an executive 9 hole course, indoor and outdoor tennis, fitness and pool facilities. Total club revenues exceed $10 million, with food and beverage revenues of $3.5 million. The club features a formal dining room and lounge, two casual areas, pool and golf course snack bars, and banqueting facilities for 250.
Summary
The purpose of the Server position is to interact with our members and ensure they have a great experience when dining at the Club in our various restaurants. The Server is responsible for positive member interactions while serving members in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, the Server is expected to be attentive to our members needs and making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed.
Position Qualifications and Functional Skills - Server
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. Furthermore, he / she should possess the following personal and professional characteristics:
- Minimum one year of experience as a Server in a fast-paced environment.
- High School Diploma
- Punctual
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English via verbal, written, and computer skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Positive, engaging personality and professional appearance
- A gracious, friendly, patient and helpful attitude towards members/guests
- Ability to multi-task and work in a very busy environment.
