Administrative Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY: The Administrative Assistant will engage and inspire customers of a personal finance company with a break-through concept. Being at the heart of introducing this new business model is a tremendous opportunity, as it places the Store Leader in the center of solidifying the image customers will carry with them from year to year. The primary responsibility is establishing relationships, providing fantastic customer service, and cross selling products and services. Knowledge of the tax and accounting industry is critical, as it allows the person in this position to have focused conversations with customers, as well as to make founded and thorough recommendations. Thus, the caveat to this position is that we are looking for candidates who want a career in Accounting, since this position will be a stepping stone that can help launch an early accounting career. Our company is the perfect place for building a solid foundation for a future professional career in either Accounting/Tax or Business Development.

THE EXPECTATIONS:

Greet and manage walk-in customers
Walk customers through logistics of the tax preparation process
Printing and assembling tax returns
Distribution of tax returns via email, mail, and in person
Schedule Tax interviews for clients and create account information in CRM system
Operate and perform basic troubleshooting for print equipment
Sell our services to new customers and cross-sell to current customers
Operate the cash register
Distribute daily mail to appropriate mail boxes/staff
Answer and place phone calls as needed

THE SKILLS:

Currently pursuing a degree/certificate in Accounting or Taxation; or experience with tax return assembly preferred
Bilingual (Spanish/English)
Understand public accounting and tax industry
Professionalism, integrity, and trustworthiness combines with a cooperative attitude
Highly motivated self-starter with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines
Must be able to adapt to evolving department/role, able to take on new challenges as they become delegated
Persuasive communicator
Experienced with Social Media Tools and Microsoft Office Suite
