We are seeking a reliable and energetic Office and Events Assistant to join their high-volume Events Team in Bethesda, MD. This role provides critical support for daily office functions and hospitality operations. You will ensure that all physical spaces—from the
café and kitchens to meeting and event areas—are immaculate, fully stocked, and reflective of a professional, inviting company culture.
Key Responsibilities
1. Event Execution & Hospitality Excellence
End-to-End Event Logistics: Provide comprehensive support for all catered meetings and internal events, including pre-event setup, buffet completion, and post-meal breakdown.
Catering Management: Greet and manage caterers, verify orders for accuracy, ensure dietary restrictions are clearly labeled, and professionally transfer food into serving dishes.
Presentation & Service: Set up the full meal flow (bases, proteins, toppings), monitor food presentation and quality, and provide friendly, professional customer service to all internal guests.
Setup & Breakdown: Accurately set up banquet and meeting spaces according to specifications, and quickly return all items to proper storage post-event.
2. Workspace & Facility Support
Daily Cleanliness & Maintenance: Manage the overall cleanliness and organization of all common areas (Café, Pre-Function areas, Catering Kitchen) and ensure surfaces are prepped for all meals.
Inventory & Stocking: Proactively replenish all supplies at Coffee Stations (creamers, sweeteners, cups), Snack Stations, and office fridges.
Kitchen & Dishware: Regularly empty, run, and unload dishwashers in the Catering Kitchen and Staff Pantry.
Coffee & Equipment Care: Maintain full functionality of coffee machines (topping off beans, filling water, emptying grounds).
3. General Office & Administrative Tasks
Mail & Shipping: Process all incoming mail and packages; prepare outgoing shipments and coordinate courier pickups.
Supply Management: Support inventory and ordering for general office supplies, ensuring meeting rooms are always equipped and ready for use.
Qualifications & Characteristics
The ideal candidate will embody our core values and possess the following:
Experience: Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or event coordination is strongly preferred.
Attitude: Must be Upbeat, Collaborative, and helpful—always willing to jump in when needed, and energized by creating exceptional experiences.
Proactivity: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses the ability to identify and address needs before they arise in a high-volume environment.
Physical Requirement: Must have the physical ability to lift and move event equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds.
Flexibility: Commitment to high standards of cleanliness and the flexibility to work various schedules, including occasional evenings and weekends, as required by event demands.

Pay Range: Hourly $20.00 to $23.00
