Overview
As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being of individuals and families within your community. You will provide compassionate support, guidance, and resources to those facing various challenges, including mental health issues, developmental disabilities, and crises. Your expertise in clinical counseling and case management will empower clients to navigate their circumstances effectively while promoting resilience and growth.

What you’ll do

Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for clients, ensuring a holistic approach to their well-being.
Facilitate crisis intervention services to support clients during critical moments.
Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure proper coding using ICD-9 and ICD-10.
Engage in home and community care initiatives, fostering connections that enhance client support systems.
Participate in clinical research efforts to contribute to the advancement of social work practices.
Advocate for clients' rights and access to necessary resources, including addiction counseling and PTSD care.

Basic qualifications

Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
Valid state licensure as a Social Worker or eligibility for licensure.
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and familiarity with medical terminology.

Preferred qualifications

Experience working with children, families, and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
Background in behavioral therapy techniques such as applied behavior analysis.
Knowledge of geriatric care practices, particularly Alzheimer’s care.
Familiarity with special education services and crisis management strategies.
Previous hospital experience or involvement in pediatrics is highly desirable.
