Position Overview:

As a Community Events Assistant, you will be a vital part of this mission infusing energy, creativity, and compassion into the daily lives of our residents. This role offers more than just a job, it’s an opportunity to build meaningful relationships, spark joy, and make a lasting impact on the well-being of older adults.

Two years' experience in an Adult Care Residence (ACR) or nursing home preferred.
Willing to function as a team member with a genuine desire to work with a geriatric population.

Primary functions and responsibilities:

Our Community Events Assistant are key to helping our residents "live life their way" by engaging our residents in social and recreational activities, maintaining compliance in our regulated areas, provides regular reports to the department manager and Administrator, as well as assist in providing emotional support while maintaining residents right to privacy.

Assisting with facilitating a full array of activities, which are congruent with residents’ needs and interests, and are designed to meet the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident in Vinson Hall.

Assists with special programs and events for Vinson Hall residents with a goal of enhancing the community spirit, providing entertainment, and in some cases raising community awareness of VH.
