DISPENSARY RETAIL ASSOCIATE

ABOUT THE JOB

We’re looking for a Dispensary Retail Specialist to join our team and help create a welcoming, educational, and inclusive space for every customer. In this role, you’ll answer product questions, guide customers through their options, and make sure our storefront always looks its best.

Flexibility in your availability is must-have, as we operate seven days per week. We're on the hunt for genuine "people people" and team players – those who've never met a stranger and love to share knowledge. Your strong interpersonal skills, proactive customer service, and dedication to building positive client relationships are what will truly set you apart.

Our ideal team member has a positive attitude, takes pride in great service, and believes in the destigmatization and education of cannabis. Previous cannabis experience is preferred, and cover letters are required.

AT FLOWERZ YOU’LL OVERSEE… Customer Experience

Provide friendly, knowledgeable service and help customers find the right products for their needs.
Educate customers about our wide range of products (flower, concentrates, edibles, and more), including their benefits, uses, and proper dosage.
Guide customers through their purchasing decisions, ensuring a personalized and positive experience.
Drive sales by providing outstanding customer service and product recommendations, striving to meet and exceed sales targets.
Build and nurture relationships with customers to encourage repeat visits and foster loyalty.
Process transactions accurately and efficiently using our POS (Korona).
Verify that all customers are 21+ with valid ID.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of all company and product offerings, staying up-to-date on new arrivals and industry trends.
Collaborate with teammates to create a supportive work environment that encourages communication and teamwork

Operations & Merchandising

Restock, stage, and organize products to maintain a top-quality presentation.
Follow daily, weekly, and monthly task schedules to support smooth operations.
Work closely with the Front of House Manager to maintain consistent coverage and achieve team goals.
Ensure full compliance with all DC and state cannabis regulations.

Learning & Growth

Stay up to date on cannabis products, trends, and compliance—or be eager to learn quickly.
Take ownership of your product and policy knowledge.
Continue developing sales, service, and organization skills.

THIS ROLE REQUIRES…

1–2 years of cannabis retail experience preferred; 2–3 years of hospitality or customer service required.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Positive, team-first attitude.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be 21+ and comply with all DC regulations.
Comfortable using POS systems and retail software.
